WINNIPEG - The Huskie men's basketball team improved to 8-3, after recording a 20-point victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen on Friday night. The Huskies high-powered offence was on full display, as they were able to defeat the Wesmen by a 91-71 margin. Friday's victory marked the Huskies 6th straight on the season.

Saskatoon's Alexander Dewar showed his Huskie Athlete of the Week form as he tallied an impressive 34 points in the effort. Fellow Huskie Nervens Demosthene contributed 22 points of his own and 6 rebounds. The Huskies ended the game with four players scoring in double digits - Alexander Dewar, Nervens Demosthene, Emmanuel Akintunde and Marquavian Stephens.

The Wesmen were led by Don Dayrit with 14 points. 

The Huskies will look for the series sweep on Saturday night when they face the Wesmen at 5 PM.
