Third-year business major Taryn Hannah of the University of Saskatchewan Huskie women’s volleyball team earns Athlete of the Week honours following a standout performance in the Dogs season-opening weekend. In two games against the Regina Cougars, Hannah totaled 31 points with 27 kills, 3 service aces, and a block. Her most impressive performance came on Saturday night at the PAC, where the product of Battleford recorded a game-high 15 kills on 27 attacks for a .407 hitting percentage, helping Saskatchewan to a straight-sets victory for their first of the campaign. Through opening weekend of the Canada West season, Hannah ranks top-5 in the conference in several key statistical categories including kills per set (4.50, 2nd) and points per set (5.2, 2nd).
