Huskie Athlete of the Week (Jan 28, 2019):
University of Saskatchewan guard Katriana Philipenko was dialled in over the weekend, helping the Huskies stay atop the Canada West standings with a sweep over the Alberta Pandas.
The second year from Saskatoon, tallied 26 points, six assists, three steals and went 8-for-10 from beyond the arc as the Huskies bested an Alberta team that entered the weekend tied with them for first in the conference.
The Kinesiology student made all four of the three-pointers she attempted en route to scoring 14 points and adding a pair of both assists and steals Friday night as the Huskies won 87-43, before adding 12 points, four assists and two steals in an 88-64 win on Saturday.
Philipenko and the Huskies wrap up their regular season this weekend when they head to Regina to take on the Cougars on Feb. 1 & 2.
