Winning the last two matches of the season at home in last weekend to host playoff match

Huskie Athlete of the Week (Oct. 12, 2021):

Baikas played a pivotal role in ensuring Saskatchewan recorded a draw on Saturday afternoon. The Aden Bowman Collegiate graduate assisted on both Huskie goals, including the second-half equalizer in which Baikas perfectly whipped in a corner-kick, spotting Kevin Garic's head at the far post.

Huskie Athlete of the Week (Sept 23, 2019):

University of Saskatchewan forward Nikolas Baikas recorded a pair of goals over the weekend, helping the Huskies pick up a split in their two games of action.

The second year from Saskatoon was held off the scoresheet but led the team with two shots on goal in the Huskies’ 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Trinity Western Spartans Saturday.  On Sunday Baikas was unstoppable, scoring both goals in a 2-1 victory over the UBC Okanagan Heat, including a marker that saw him curl in a goal from the sideline.

Baikas and the Huskies are back in action this coming Saturday when they host the Lethbridge Pronghorns.

Huskie Athlete of the Week (August 27, 2018):

University of Saskatchewan midfielder Nikolas Baikas had a phenomenal start to his Canada West career last weekend.

The first-year midfielder from Saskatoon was the catalyst for the Huskies’ offence all weekend long. Baikas recorded three assists in the team’s 4-2 comeback victory over the Calgary Dinos on Aug. 25 and followed that up with another assist in the Huskies’ 3-2 loss to the Mount Royal Cougars on Aug. 26. In total Baikas has recorded a point on four of the Huskies’ six goals this season.

Baikas and the Huskies are back in action this Saturday, Sep. 1, for their home-opener against the Alberta Golden Bears at noon.
