Huskie Athlete of the Week (Feb. 20, 2023):
During the last games of the Canada West regular season, Dylan Mortensen smashed two Canada West records. He is now the Canada West leader in Career Kills with 1,490 and the leader in Career Points with 1,749.5. Dylan is also the U SPORTS leader in kills this season, with 410.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (Jan. 23, 2023):
Dylan Mortensen had some of his best performances of the season against the Manitoba Bisons. Dylan collected 43 kills, 20 digs, and 5 blocks over the weekend.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (Dec 3, 2018):
University of Saskatchewan outside-hitter Dylan Mortensen was a key cog in the Huskies sweeping the UBCO Heat and dropping just one set in the process. The second year from Swift Current recorded 31 kills and eight blocks in wins of 3-1 and 3-0 over the Heat. The Business student opened his weekend with 20 kills to help the Huskies to a (25-14, 26-24, 18-25, 25-22) victory on Friday afternoon. In a 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-19) victory on Saturday afternoon, the attacker put up a game-high 11 kills. Mortensen and the Huskies are done Canada West play for 2018, but they will be back in action for exhibition games against Budo on Dec. 29 & 30.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (November 27, 2017):
University of Saskatchewan rookie outside hitter Dylan Mortensen helped the Huskies to a weekend sweep of the Mount Royal University Cougars tallying 25 kills and 17 digs in the two matches.The Business student from Swift Current, Sask., led the Huskies in Friday''s 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 27-25, 25-18) win with 16 kills, 12 digs and one block assist. A night later in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18) win, Mortensen added nine kills and three digs. Mortensen and the Huskies travel to Winnipeg to meet the Manitoba Bisons to close the first half of the season December 1-2.
