Huskie Athlete of the Week (Nov. 7, 2023):
The Huskie men’s basketball team opened their season on the road against the Alberta Golden Bears. Fifth year guard Alexander Dewar led the way to the team’s first win of the season on Saturday night. With 30 points, four rebounds, two steals and a .857 free throw percentage, Dewar’s performance stood out in the Huskies 82-79 win over the Golden Bears.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (Feb 18, 2019):
University of Saskatchewan guard Alexander Dewar made quite the impact in his first ever Canada West playoff series, helping the Huskies to a sweep over the Regina Cougars. The first year from Saskatoon scored 44 points and was near the team lead with 56 minutes played on the weekend. The Kinesiology major scored 25 points in the Huskies’ series-opening 99-68 on Friday and then followed up that performance with 19 as the Huskies won 97-77 to book their ticket in the conference semifinal.
Huskie Athlete of the Week (Jan 6, 2019):
Second-year guard Alexander Dewar led the way last weekend as the Huskies picked up a sweep of the TWU Spartans by scores of 98-70 and 99-92 in Langley. The Kinesiology major started his weekend with 19 points in 23 minutes of action, including going 3-5 from beyond-the-arc on Friday. The product of Saskatoon then followed that up with 22 points and three rebounds on Saturday as the Huskies pulled out a seven-point victory.
