Community Members

Catherine Gryba is the principal and proprietor of CRG Strategies. Through CRG Strategies, a Saskatoon company, she helps organizations with practical value-added insight on strategic planning, board governance, communications and municipal government relations. Prior to joining private sector consulting, she worked for the City of Saskatoon for 34 years, culminating her career as general manager for corporate performance. Catherine is an active volunteer, giving her time and energy to countless community organizations. Currently, she is part of the Sandbox Mutual Insurance board, Nutrien Wonderhub board, and serves on the board of READ Saskatoon. She previously served as chair of the board for Saskatchewan Blue Cross. Catherine is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (BSc PE 1984) and was a member of the Alumni Association Board. No stranger to the Huskies, Catherine has volunteered for several national events hosted by Huskie Athletics.

Laurie Dmytryshyn is the Chief of Equity Investment at PIC Investment Group Inc. (PIC), a private family office based in Saskatoon. PIC has majority ownership in eight companies across diverse industries in Canada along with a Minority Equity Investment Portfolio. With over twelve years of experience at PIC, Laurie manages the PIC Minority Equity Investment Portfolio, overseeing minority stakes in 31 companies. Before joining PIC, Laurie served as the Executive Director of the Agriculture Council of Saskatchewan. She has a strong background in governance, holding various Board positions in both for-profit and non-profit sectors, including on boards for companies like Three Farmers and TinyEYE Therapy Services. Her commitment to agriculture and health is reflected in her portfolio focus.Laurie holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan, along with an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She is currently a volunteer on the USask Huskie Women of Influence Scholarship Committee and has previously served on non-profit boards such as Protein Industries Canada and Ag-West Bio Inc. A dedicated supporter of Huskie Athletics, Laurie’s family has strong ties to the program; her husband, Duane is both an alumnus of the Huskie Football team and now volunteers as a receivers coach for the team. Laurie is also proud of her three adult children, Andrew and Jennifer whom both graduated from the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business, and Joshua, who is currently finishing his Education degree with USask.

Cyprian Enweani is one of the University of Saskatchewan's track and field program’s most decorated athletes. Asprinter during his career in green and white, he competed from 1982-88 winning nine Canada West medals, three national medals and the Canada West and national team title in 1986-87. While a member of the Huskies, Cyprian competed nine times with the Canadian national team including three times in the FISU World University Games and was honoured as the flag bearer in 1987. He broke three Canada West records – with the 300-metres still standing 33 years later.

Andy McCreath is the President of McCreath Capital and a partner in McCreath Holdings. As a partner in tinePublic Inc. for 16 years, he was involved in producing large scale speaking tours across Canada including four United States Presidents (George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama), British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Stephen Hawking and countless others. He was one of the national co-chairs of the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto. He formerly worked at the NHL head office in New York in the Events and Entertainment Department and also at the Goal Group of Companies Sports Management Agency. He volunteers his time in the Calgary Community co-chairing several events every year. He has served as a Director of TELUS Community Board, KidSport Calgary, SaskPower, Canada 150 Gives Back. He currently works with the Edmonton Oilers Foundation and sits on the boards of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, Canada Soccer Foundation, is a Trustee of the Canadian Athletic Foundation (U Sports) and is an Ambassador to the Veterans House of Canada.

Andy was the recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award, Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People, Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 and the University of Saskatchewan Young Alumni Award. Business in Calgary designated him as one of Calgary’s Leaders of Tomorrow.

Tanya Knight is Executive Vice President, Clients and Services at MNP and a member of the firm's executive team. She oversees the firm's national service line, industry, and cultural niche strategies and brings more than 25 years of experience advising businesses and organizations across a wide range of industries. Throughout her career, Tanya has contributed to governance and strategic decision-making through her service on corporate and community boards.

In addition to her role on the Huskie Athletics Board of Trustees, Tanya currently serves as a Director of Saskatchewan Blue Cross and is a former President and Director of the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce and former Vice President of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce. Passionate about leadership, community engagement, and creating opportunities for future generations, she is committed to supporting initiatives that help young people achieve their potential through education, athletics, and personal development.

Tim Hodgson has been a lawyer in Saskatoon for the past 40+ years with the law firm of Stevenson Hood Thornton Beaubier. He is a proud University of Saskatchewan alumnus, having obtained is LL .B. from the College of Law in 1983. He is also a proud alumnus of Huskie Athletics, having played hockey for the Huskies from 1979 to 1983, when the team won three consecutive Canada West Championships as well as a National Championship.

Tim was heavily involved with the very successful Home Ice Campaign. He was the Saskatoon Chair of the Committee which raised in excess of $29,000,000 to help the University to fund construction of Merlis Belsher Place, a world class, multi-purpose facility on the University of Saskatchewan campus.

Tim has also been actively involved with the Men's Huskie Hockey Alumni Association over the last 4 decades. The Association has been very active in supporting the Men’s Huskie Hockey team with a vision of continued excellence and success for a college hockey program that is perennially one of the best in Canada.
