HAMILTON, Ont. - Isabelle Lachance was among those recognized Wednesday night (Nov. 5) at the U SPORTS Women's Soccer All-Canadian banquet, representing the University of Saskatchewan on the 2025 national All-Rookie team.

The product of Calgary, Alberta, becomes just the sixth Huskie to be recognized among the U SPORTS All-Canadians, and first-ever first-year student-athlete to be named to the All-Rookie team.

Lachance burst onto the Canada West soccer seen for the Huskies, needing less than 15 minutes of action to record her first career goal in Saskatchewan's season-opener against the Mount Royal Cougars. From there, the Animal Biosciences major took off, recording four goals and five points by the end of the regular season.

Her nine points in 14 games was a team-high on the Huskies and tied for eighth-most in the conference. 

In addition to a remarkable first career appearance, her season highlights included a two-goal performance in the fourth game of the campaign against the Lethbridge Pronghorns and her first career game winning goal in a 3-1 road win against the Manitoba Bisons.

A staple of the Huskie lineup, Lachance played 70+ minutes in eight of the first nine matches of the season, started 10 matches total, and played the sixth-most minutes of any student-athlete in green & white.
