SASKATOON, SK – The Brandon Bobcats stunned the USask Huskies in a remarkable 19-point comeback to seal a weekend sweep of the Huskies at home 85-81.
Starting lineup for the Huskies consisted of Tyrese Potoma,
Alexander Dewar,
Fisayo Moibi,
Maxwell Amoafo, and a first-year starter Erwin Loic. The Bobcats kept the same lineup from the night before with Jahmal Gardner, Khari Ojeda-Harvey, Anthony Tsegakele, Sultan Haider Bhatti and Jack McDonald.
The Huskies came out strong in the first quarter scoring 27 points and controlling the rebounding battle on both sides of the ball. The Brandon offence seemed out-of-sync for the first quarter, scoring a season-low of only 16 points.
The second quarter started in the Huskies favor, but the Bobcats continued to push the pace and were chipping away at the Huskies lead. The Huskies had a season-high of 12 three-point attempts, led by Erwin Loic who went 2-4 from the arc while Bobcats were struggling to find their shots from deep as the Huskies went into halftime up 46-35 on the Bobcats.
After the break, the Huskies came out energized led by
Maxwell Amoafo who had a strong presence in the paint and controlled the rebounds for the Huskies. One of the nation's leading scorer Anthony Tsegakele was frustrated early as he was held to only 9 points due to Huskies defensive pressure. The Huskies continued to push their lead and ended the quarter break 65-48.
The fourth quarter had a miraculous performance from the Bobcats who trailed 19 points to the Huskies. Khari Ojeda-Harvey and Anthony Tsegakele found their groove and took control of the game scoring a combined 24 points of the Bobcats 37 points in the quarter taking a 3-point lead over the Huskies with less than two-minutes remaining. The Huskies fought back to close the lead but fell short losing the second night 85-81 to the Bobcats.

Maxwell Amoafo had an incredible performance with 15 points and 17 rebounds.
