SASKATOON – On a cool fall evening, the undefeated Mount Royal Cougars took on the hometown Saskatchewan Huskies.

With the Huskies looking to battle their way into the playoffs, they faced up against a tough Mount Royal Cougars team currently leading the way in the Prairie division.

Mount Royal had the first offensive chances of the game recording two shots on target in the opening 19 minutes, but both were stopped by the Huskies rookie goaltender Jaron Slopinski.

The opening half provided to be a defensive battle that saw only two shots on target combined with both coming from the Cougars in the opening 20 minutes.

The second half opened with both teams recording a shot on target in the first seven minutes but neither team was able to find the back of the net.
