SASKATOON – The University of Saskatchewan Huskies men's volleyball team will be looking to head into the winter break on a positive note when they wrap up 2018 at home against the UBC Okanagan Heat this weekend.

A busy slate of games at the PAC will see the Huskies taking to the court for scheduled start times of 3:00 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1.

A split against the reigning U SPORTS National Champion UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver last weekend moved the Huskies to 4-6 on the season where they sit sixth in the conference.

UBCO meanwhile, were swept by Brandon at home in their last action and are last place in Canada West with a record of 0-10.

Five Things

1: The game on Saturday will be a Parent / Alumni appreciation game, with a special section set up above the video board on the concourse.

2: These will be the final games of the 2018 regular season for the Huskies who will play Budo, from Japan, in exhibition games on Dec. 29 & 30.

3: Saskatchewan has just two home weekends in the second half of the season.

4: Last season, the Huskies swept the series with the Heat 2-0 (3-0, 3-0).

5: In partnership with CJWW, Huskie Athletics will be collecting unwrapped toys for donation at both games this weekend.
