Veteran running back for the Huskie football team, Ryker Frank takes home Athlete of the Week honours after a performance for the record books in Friday’s 44-40 Homecoming win over the Calgary Dinos. Frank carried the ball 34 times for 223 yards and three majors on the ground, all career-highs for the fourth-year engineering student. Not only was it a productive day for the product of Regina, but it was also an efficient one, with Frank averaging 6.6 yards per carry. His performance also placed him in program record books for single-game carries (2nd), rushing yards (Tied 4th), and rushing touchdowns (Tied 2nd). Frank enters Week 4 as one of the best backs in the nation and has the stats to back it up with 348 yards (4th in U SPORTS) and four touchdowns (T-2nd in U SPORTS).
