Fifth-year midfielder from the Huskie women’s soccer team, Jade Houmphanh earns Athlete of the Week honours after an impressive 2-point outing in the Dogs opening week of the season. On Saturday against the Griffins, Houmphanh scored in extra time, turning a 2-1 loss into a 2-2 draw with a strike from 20-yards out in the Huskies 2024 season-opener. The next day, she earned an assist on teammate Tia Lecox’s game-winner against Alberta in the opening minutes to secure the team’s first victory. Now with 18 career points, the veteran local product moves into 6^th-place in all-time program assists and approaches the Top 10 in career points.
